Day 164 of a Photo a Day: Date Day/Honesty Eve

Don and I went on a date today.

We were originally hoping to check out the Blue Whale exhibit at the Royal Ontario Museum, but some things didn't work out, and we ended up grabbing some Tim Horton's and taking a walk. We got word that his van was finally ready for pickup, and with a tour coming up, it seemed like a good thing to get done sooner rather than later.

We arrived, dropped his rental off, but when we got the keys to his van we noticed that his CD bucket was missing. A quick chat with the owner revealed that it had ended up behind the desk one day and he wasn't sure which car it belonged to. Fine. But then...all of the loonies and toonies from the cup holder in the front was missing. That's a weird thing to come back in and talk about. When we dropped the car off, I said "Don't you want to clear out the cup holder?" Don replied that if the money was gone when the van was returned, that was their tip. That being said, it still felt a little sour. Pretty inconsequential, but certainly a strange thing to do.

We got Indian food and talked honestly and got through a bit of sadness. It was a good date. We did not see comedy in the evening.
