Day 142 of a Photo a Day: Lucky Charm

I was given this charm from Japanese documentarian Hitomi Kamanaka. I, along with 2 other students from my East Asian cinema class, stayed late to talk with this awesome director. Like me, she thought it critical to highlight environmental issues through visual media. Her film Rokkasho Rhapsody is awesome and definitely worth a watch.

She told me that this charm would bring me good luck. I've been pretty lucky since, but hadn't been carrying it on me anymore because the string broke. I tied it to this hanging that Rhi Moore made that I'd hung from our kitchen window. Rhi and Hitomi are both incredibly inspiring and badass women. I am pretty sure their powers will combine here and I will be blessed with positive, beautiful energies and luck.
