Day 132 of a Photo a Day: Dave, Jack, and Sarah

This evening my cousins and I went to our grandparents’ house for a birthday dinner for Stevie (pictured here) and Josh (my dear bro). Before eating, Josh, Stevie and I went over to the MacDonald’s house. Jack MacDonald (also pictured here) had been working for months creating a beautiful urn (also pictured here) for Stevie’s father and my uncle Dave. In about a month’s time, we will gather together again for the committal of his ashes. The wood he used is so beautiful, and he even specifically chose a piece that appeared to have an “M” in the grain lines.

Dave, we were lucky to have you. You are missed every single day, but we know that you have influenced us all and that you continue to watch over us--especially your fantastic and incredibly kind children. Rest peacefully (and with some good music, of course).
