Day 106 of a Photo a Day: Rocky and her Mom

I'm going to start this post off by saying that Rocky is so cool (probably obvious from this picture). She is brave and silly and caring and she is definitely one of my idols.

But although my photo of the day is of the two of us being silly together, I want to talk about her mom in this post, one of the greatest loves of my life, Victoria Heron.

You know you're starting your day off right when your morning is filled with great and intense conversation with one of your favourite ladies of all time. Vic, you are so important to me. You are fearless, passionate, sensitive and fricken hilarious, and you are a god damn gift to my life. I'm always floored by your emotional maturity (especially because I've seen you be a complete weirdo a lot), and your ability to be both such a good listener and sharer. You break down my walls and my quiet bizarre disposition and get me talking beyond just "life's good, yeah. Nothing much has changed."

I don't like being in a different city than you, but after visits like this, it makes me really happy to know and understand that the way that we are together and the way that we support each other is unmovable and unbreakable. You can always tell me anything and vice versa, because we know that we're wonderful and worthy of each others' ears. Stay strong, fiery, and brave while I'm away and I'll do the same. Any time you need me, call. If my phone's on silent...I swear I'll call you back as soon as I notice.
