Today was a long day; a Valois practice to kick things off, an art show, some vocal/lyrical work with Charlie and finally, eating some late night potatoes, doing some laundry and nerding out about Oscars gone by with my two favourite Joshes.
The art show at House of Common was a very cool time. I feel like my personality allows me to get along with a lot of different people because there are a lot of different but very strong parts of myself that sometimes lie resting inside, so hanging out amongst some very carefree, happy, and confident individuals brings those aspects of myself to the surface. It was nice. I danced, I laughed, and I felt very high on life (I am a sober lady, so that was pretty cool). A very cool lady named Brittany painted Surraya's face, pictured above (as well as my new and dear friend Will's and my own). I walked around Ottawa for much of the night with my face-paint on: carefree, happy, and confident.
