Dream catchers have always fascinated me. Ever since I was a kid--when I was lucky enough to attend the annual traditional Pow Wow at Silver Lake and was taught about the dream-catcher's significance by an Algonquin First Nation elder--I've loved the idea that the night's air was filled with good and bad dreams, and that dream catchers could catch the bad dreams and let the good ones through.

Since then, I have almost always had a dream catcher above my bed.

At my parents' house in Ottawa, I have three dream catchers by my bed. I have been having very good dreams.
