Day 19 of a Photo a Day: Chicken for Shackletons

Today, I single-handedly prepped and cooked meat for what I think was the first time since I became a vegetarian.
This was not putting some Janes Chicken Fingers (TM) into a toaster oven--this was taking the alien flesh of chicken and cutting off its bloody and fatty parts, slicing it to the desired thickness for rolling, and seasoning it to be baked. It was bizarre and rewarding. I don't eat meat, but my dear Donny certainly does as do his beautiful cousins Alex and Chris (pictured above looking like he made the stuff himself). I like treating the people I care about to nice things, and this seemed like a nice thing. For me, having a family meal in Toronto was a nice thing. With no blood relatives in Toronto, it's nice to already have a few different Toronto families that I can be with when I need support. Even if none of us "need" support, it's nice to share this kind of love.
Love u Shackletons.
